hey day of the Hollywood western the Bell family (AT&T) operated
a Dude ranch along the banks of Beaver Creek. Clark Gable and
Bette Davis were regular visitors to the lush green valley of
Lake Montezuma.
In the the coming years
a beautiful 18 hole golf (Beaver
Creek Golf Club) course set
among the centuries old cottonwood trees. The "old" Ranch House
soon became the Verde Valley landmark it is today.
